About us
Rooted in faith, open to all
The Association Fond Diri De Saint-Joseph is a declared non-profit association headquartered at 5 Quai Solidor, 35400 Saint-Malo, France.
Our history
The Association Fond Diri De Saint-Joseph was founded by a group of volunteers who had, for years, been organising shared meals and holiday activities for children and families in need. What started as informal gatherings around a common table grew into a structured commitment, and the founders chose to formalise their work as a registered association so that it could be run transparently, receive donations responsibly and partner with institutions.
The name reflects our roots. Saint Joseph, patron of workers and protector of families, embodies quiet, faithful service. "Diri" — rice — evokes the simplest and most universal of shared foods. Together they express what we do: provide the essentials with care, and make every person feel welcome at the table, regardless of origin, belief or circumstance.
Today, the association coordinates food distribution, children's summer and holiday programs, educational and cultural workshops, and accompaniment for vulnerable families, carried by a dedicated team of volunteers and supported by members and donors.
